European Judo Union approves holding of tournament in Baku

The European Judo Union (EJU) approves the term of the tournament of �A’ category to be held in Baku in 2006, Trend reports.

According to Aghayar Akhundzade, the chief coach of the national team, all strongest athletes of the continent will arrive in the capital in late August under the schedule. “Organization of similar competition in Baku will be general rehearsal on the eve of the license tournament of 2007. The judo wrestlers will score rating points for successful wrestling in Baku,” Akhundzade said.

It should be mentioned that the competition had status of category �B’, but the National Federation managed to rise the category of the tournament.
