Azerbaijan, Baku / Тrend corr K. Zarbaliyeva / The Constitutional Court of Azerbaijan received 1,020 individual appeals during the first seven months of 2007. A source at the Constitutional Court reported to Trend on 8 August that verdicts had been made on 234 appeals. There were 229 decisions regarding refusals to take the appeals for execution, as well as five verdicts to accept the appeals for execution. Another forty-eight appeals are being considered by the chamber and judges of the Constitutional Court.
The Constitutional Court took eight decisions on individual appeals in that period.
