Azerbaijan's budget received more revenues than originally forecasted for January-August 2019, Azerbaijan’s First Deputy Minister of Taxes Sahir Mammadkhanov said at a conference titled "Work carried out, current situation and problems in collecting social insurance contributions," Trend reports.
He said state social insurance contributions were overfulfilled, as did unemployment insurance contributions.
“An extra 7 percent of funds meant for mandatory state social insurance contributions entered [the state budget], along with an extra 6.7 percent of funds meant for unemployment insurance. At the same time, compared with the beginning of the year, a significant decrease was observed in the number of taxpayers in social insurance and unemployment insurance, as well as the total amount owed,” Mammadkhanov said.
