Azerbaijan's Nakhchivan increases cargo, passenger traffic in 9M2021

Azerbaijan Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic's volume of transported cargo from January through September 2021 slightly grew, Trend reports citing the report of Nakhchivan’s State Statistical Committee.

According to the report, this indicator topped 12.3 million tons, up by 0.7 percent on annual basis.

Besides, in the first nine months of this year, more than 79.3 million passengers were transported, which is a rise of 2.3 percent compared to the same period of 2020.

Meanwhile, Azerbaijan's total passenger traffic by all types of transport decreased by 10 percent year on year and amounted to 838.9 million people. Most of the passengers (95.1 percent) were transported by road, 4.6 percent - by subway, and 0.3 percent - by other means of transport.
