Azerbaijan’s 11M2021 imports of tea increased by 3.3 percent, or 405 tons compared to the same period last year - to more than 12,669 tons, Trend reports citing a report from the State Customs Committee (SCC) of Azerbaijan.
According to the SCC, the share of tea in Azerbaijan's total imports during the reporting period amounted to 0.53 percent.
"The value of tea imports in the reporting period exceeded $55.545 million. On an annual basis, this figure increased by 11.91 percent, or $5.912 million," the SCC said.
Foreign trade turnover of Azerbaijan in 11M2021 overall increased by 32.85 percent, or $7.463 billion compared to the same period last year - from $22.746 billion to $30.209 billion.
In the structure of Azerbaijan's foreign trade turnover in the reporting period, exports amounted to $19.799 billion, and imports - $10.409 billion, having increased on an annualized basis by 51.6 and 7.47 percent, respectively.
As a result, in 11M2021, the foreign trade balance, while remaining positive, increased on an annualized basis by 178 percent, or $6.014 billion - to $9.389 billion against $3.375 billion in 11M2020.
