BAKU, Azerbaijan, June 3. Turkey's exports to Turkic-speaking countries increased by 9.3 percent in April 2022, compared to the same month last year and amounted to $726 million, the Turkish Trade Ministry told TurkicWorld, Trend reports.
The ministry said that Turkey's exports to Turkic-speaking countries increased by 1.7 percent from January through April 2022 compared to the same period last year and amounted to $2.3 billion.
Turkey imported goods worth $628 million from Turkic-speaking countries in April 2022, which is 61.1 percent more than in the same month last year.
"Turkey imported goods worth $2 billion from Turkic-speaking countries from January through April 2022, which is 36.8 percent more than in the same period last year," the ministry noted.
Turkey's foreign trade turnover amounted to $52,848 billion in April 2022. Turkey's exports increased by 24.6 percent compared to April 2021, to $23.3 billion, while imports grew by 35 percent, to $29.4 billion.
Turkey's foreign trade turnover amounted to $200.3 billion from January through April this year. Turkey's exports increased by 21.6 percent from January through April 2021 compared to the same period last year and amounted to $83.531 billion.
Turkey's imports during this period increased by 40.2 percent compared to the same period last year and reached $116.8 billion.
