BAKU, Azerbaijan, June 9. Exports from Azerbaijan to the US amounted to $39.8 million from January through April 2022, which is 72.8 percent more than in the same period last year, Trend reports with reference to the statistical bulletin of the State Customs Committee (SCC) of Azerbaijan.
The share of the US in the total export of Azerbaijan reached 0.34 percent in the reporting period.
Imports of US products to Azerbaijan amounted to about $109 million during the reporting period.
The share of the US in Azerbaijan's total imports amounted to 2.69 percent.
The trade turnover between Azerbaijan and the US amounted to $148.5 million from January through April 2022.
Azerbaijan's foreign trade turnover totally increased by 60.35 percent in the first four months of 2022, or $5.97 billion compared to the same period last year - from $9.89 billion to $15.86 billion.
Exports, in the structure of foreign trade turnover, accounted for $11.8 billion, which is $5.4 billion (85.7 percent) more than from January through April 2021. The share of exports in the foreign trade turnover amounted to 74.5 percent against 64.3 percent a year earlier.
Azerbaijan's imports increased by $511.6 million or 14.5 percent in the reporting period (from $3.5 billion to $4.04 billion).
The share of imports in foreign trade turnover amounted to 25.4 percent against 35.6 percent a year earlier.
