Turkiye's value of clothes export to Georgia grows in 5M2022

BAKU, Azerbaijan, June 13. The value of clothes’ export from Turkiye to Georgia increased from January through May 2022, Turkish Trade Ministry said, Trend reports via TurkicWorld.

According to the ministry, this figure amounted to $51.3 million, up by 30.9 percent on annual basis.

In May of this year, Turkiye exported clothes worth $8.5 million to Georgia, which is 12.8 percent more than in the same month in 2021, the ministry said.

Besides, according the ministry, the total value of clothes exported from Turkiye to world markets in the first five months of 2022 grew by 15.8 percent year on year – up to $8.8 billion.

The country totally exported clothes worth $1.3 billion to world markets in May 2022, which is three percent more on annual basis.

During the past 12 months (from May 2021 through May 2022), clothes amounting to $1.9 billion were exported from Turkiye abroad, added the ministry.
