Azerbaijan boosts non-oil exports

BAKU, Azerbaijan, September 7. Azerbaijan's export of non-oil products increased by 19 percent from January through August 2022, compared to the same period last year and amounted to $1.9 billion, Trend reports via Center for Analysis of Economic Reforms and Communication.

The total value of Azerbaijan's non-oil exports amounted to 3.7 billion in August 2022, out of which $204 million fell on non-oil export. This figure increased by 11.4 percent compared to same month last year ($230.4 million).

Azerbaijan's exports amounted to $3.7 billion in August 2022, while non-oil exports accounted for $204 million of the total volume, which is 11.4 percent less compared to the same month last year.

According to the report, Azerbaijani food exports increased by 21.5 percent, reaching $46.6 million, whereas export of non-food products decreased by 5.1 percent, up to $157.4 million.

Most of the exports of non-oil products fell on the joint export of agricultural and agro-industrial products from January through August 2022, the value of which amounted to $537.8 million, which is 13.1 percent more compared to the same period in 2021.

In the reporting period, Azerbaijani exports of fruits and vegetables accounted for 93.2 percent of the total volume of agricultural products.

Azerbaijani exports of chemical products increased three times, aluminum and products thereof – by 66 percent, ferrous metals and products thereof – by 21.1 percent.

The total value of Azerbaijan's export amounted to $26.2 billion from January through July 2022.
