BAKU, Azerbaijan, October 18. The ports of Türkiye handled 1.6 million tons of cargo from Germany from January through September 2022, Turkish Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure told Turkic World, Trend reports.
According to ministry, ships under the Turkish flag delivered 21,181 tons of cargo from Germany to local ports, and ship under the flags of other countries - 1.5 million tons.
Ships under the German flag delivered 8,477 tons of cargo to Turkish ports during this period.
Turkish ports handled 103,371 tons of transit cargo from Germany from January through September 2022.
Turkish ports handled 31.9 million tons of cargo in September 2022.
Cargo transportation by ships under the flag of Türkiye through local ports amounted to 2.2 million tons during the specified period. Cargo transportation through the ports of Türkiye by ships under the flags of other countries amounted to 29.7 million tons.
Turkish ports handled 6.6 million tons of transit cargo in September 2022. Turkish ports handled 269.5 million tons of cargo from January through September 2022. Cargo transportation by ships under the flag of Türkiye amounted to 21.3 million tons during the specified period.
Cargo transportation through the ports of Türkiye by ships under the flags of other countries amounted to 275.2 million tons.
Turkish ports handled 60.6 million tons of transit cargo from January through September 2022.
