BAKU, Azerbaijan, June 27. The North Caucasus Rosselkhoznadzor Interregional Administration controlled the import of 147.82 tons of hazelnuts in Russia’s Stavropol Krai in 2023, the hazelnuts came from Azerbaijan, Trend reports.
According to the Federal Service for Veterinary and Phytosanitary Surveillance of the Russian Federation (Rosselkhoznadzor), only 75 tons of hazelnuts were delivered during the same period in 2022.
Thus, the export of hazelnuts from Azerbaijan to Stavropol increased by 97.09 percent or 72.82 tons.
Meanwhile, Azerbaijan exported hazelnuts to the world market in the amount of $106.3 million in 2022, which is $2.5 million (2.3 percent) less in comparison with 2021.
