BAKU, Azerbaijan, August 10. Azerbaijan's non-oil exports increased by 17.8 percent and amounted to $2 billion from January through July 2023, Trend reports.
According to the Center for Economic Reforms Analysis and Communication of Azerbaijan, the value of exported non-oil products amounted to $233.2 million (an increase of 0.4 percent) only in July compared to the same month last year.
Azerbaijan exported $60.1 million worth of food products to foreign markets and $173.2 million worth of non-food products in July.
"The value of exported food products amounted to $520 million from January through July 2023. The export of electricity increased 5.5 times, alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages increased 4.4 times, sugar increased 53.1 percent, and fruits and vegetables increased 46.6 percent," the center noted.
Moreover, the value of exports of agricultural and agro-industrial products increased by 10.6 percent to $540.2 million from January through July.
"The cost of agricultural products increased by 41.3 percent and amounted to $119.4 million in comparison with the reporting period last year," the center said.
Azerbaijan's total exports amounted to $20.8 billion from January through July.
