BAKU, Azerbaijan, October 23. The amount of funds allocated for agriculture in Azerbaijan in 2024-2027 has been named, Trend reports.
The data of Azerbaijan's Finance Ministry shows that Azerbaijan plans to allocate 1.109 billion manat ($652.3 million) for agriculture in 2024, 1.133 billion manat ($666.4 million) in 2025, 1.147 billion manat ($674.7 million) in 2026 and 1.145 billion manat ($673.5 million) in 2027 within the framework of the medium-term budget for 2024-2027.
Of these, about 917.7 million manat ($539.8 million) is planned to be allocated for the development of crop production in 2024, 922.5 million manat ($542.6 million) in 2025, 930.6 million manat ($547.4 million) in 2026 and 938.5 million manat ($552 million) in 2027.
In addition, it is planned to allocate 70.8 million manat ($41.6 million) in 2024, 75 million manat ($44.1 million) in 2025, 80.6 million manat ($47.4 million) in 2026 and 87 million manat ($51.1 million) in 2027 from the budget for agriculture for the development of livestock breeding.
Moreover, it is planned to allocate 82.6 million manat ($48.5 million) in 2024, 71.8 million manat ($42.2 million) in 2025, 82.5 million manat ($48.5 million) in 2026 and 82.8 million manat ($48.7 million) in 2027 to provide the agrarian sector with investment resources from the budget.
According to the decree of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan No. 2469 dated February 2, 2021, the following five National Priorities of the policy of socio-economic development of the country until 2030 are defined: sustainable growing competitive economy, society based on dynamic, inclusive and social justice, competitive human capital and space for modern innovations, Great Return to liberated territories, as well as clean environment and the country of "green growth".
