BAKU, Azerbaijan, December 1. The monetary base of Azerbaijan fell by 0.4 percent, or 67.6 million manat ($39.7 million), on December 1, 2023, to 18.3 billion manat ($10.7 billion), Trend reports.
According to Central Bank of Azerbaijan data, the monetary base expanded by 5 percent, or 874.1 million manat ($514.1 million), compared to the start of the year, and by 9.7 percent, or 1.6 billion manat ($941.1 million), over the previous year.
To note, Azerbaijan's monetary base shrank by 2.7 percent in 2022.
