BAKU, Azerbaijan, March 5. Azerbaijan's Deposit Insurance Fund has published financial statements for 2021 and 2022, Trend reports.
The Fund completed 2021 with a net profit of 104.5 million manat ($61.4 million) and 2022 with a net profit of 107.1 million manat ($62.9 million). The Fund's net profit in 2022 increased by 2.5 percent compared to the previous year.
The Fund's insurance premiums in 2022 amounted to 64.3 million manat (30.6 percent more than in 2021), interest income - 3.3 million manat ($1.9 million) (2.1 times more), funds for the return of compensations paid to banks - 45.2 million manat ($26.5 million) (10 percent less), other income - 3.5 million manat ($2 million) (56.8 percent less).
The total assets of the Fund in 2022 amounted to 566.5 million manat ($333 million), which is 14.1 percent more than in 2021. The figure for 2021 was 496.8 million manat ($292.1 million). During this period, the Fund's total liabilities decreased from 330.6 million manat ($194.3 million) to 293.1 million manat ($172.3 million) (a decrease of 11.2 percent). The total capital of the Fund in 2022 amounted to 273.4 million manat ($160.7 million), which is 64.5 percent more than a year earlier.
Meanwhile, the total capital of the Fund amounted to 166.3 million manat ($97.7 million) in 2021.
