BAKU, Azerbaijan, September 25. The 5th meeting of the Azerbaijani-Russian Working Group in the field of agriculture of the Ministries of Agriculture of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Russian Federation has been held, Trend reports via Azerbaijan's Ministry of Agriculture.
According to the information, the meeting was attended by Azerbaijan's Deputy Agriculture Minister Elchin Zeynalov, Russia's Deputy Agriculture Minister Sergei Levin, and representatives of relevant structures and agricultural enterprises of both countries.
“The meeting touched upon the current situation in agriculture between Azerbaijan and Russia. The sides emphasized that ties in the field of agriculture are developing between Azerbaijan and Russia in all spheres of the economy.
Furthermore, the sides discussed issues of increasing trade turnover of agricultural and food products between the two countries, transfer of the most modern technologies in the agricultural sphere, digitalization, cooperation in the field of research and education programs, and other issues.
Meanwhile, it was noted that there is great potential between the two countries to expand ties in the field of agriculture.
The parties expressed interest in cooperation on the discussed issues and exchanged views on the prospects for further cooperation.
In the framework of the meeting, new opportunities for cooperation in the field of agriculture were considered, and the importance of establishing a permanent dialogue between the agencies to expand ties was emphasized,” the statement of the ministry reads.
