ASTANA, Kazakhstan, January 28. A preliminary decision on selecting a vendor for the construction of a nuclear power plant in Kazakhstan will be made in May or June, said Deputy Minister of Energy Sungat Esimkhanov to Kazakhstani media, Trend reports.
"Currently, negotiations are underway with potential vendors. In the first half of this year, in May or June, preliminary information will be available about the vendors we will work with," said the Deputy Minister of Energy.
To note, it was previously reported that the final decision regarding the selection of a supplier or consortium for the nuclear power plant construction project in Kazakhstan will be made this year.
Vendor shall be an enterprise-supplier, often a manufacturer of certain goods/services, that produces and supplies a product under its own brand name, which is offered to the consumer under its own trademark.
