Uzbekistan starts to build large Halal-certified hotel complex

BAKU, Azerbaijan, May 15

Seven large hotel complexes are under construction in Payaryk district of Uzbekistan's Samarkand region, which will fully meet international Halal standard, Trend reports with reference to Department of Tourism Development of Samarkand region.

The mentioned complexes envision all the necessary attributes that go in line with the Islamic laws, including the "halal food" (food products that are prepared following Islamic dietary laws), as well as prayer rooms, etc.

The total cost of the project is 216.2 billion soum (21.2 million) and it is planned to create more than 150 jobs.

On May 12, Deputy Mayor of the region Botirjon Nurullaev held a meeting with representatives of organizations, with participation of Deputy Mayor for Construction and Investment of Payarik district and chief architect of the district.

The purpose of the meeting was to monitor the condition of construction work, while certain instructions were also given regarding timely and quality execution of all work, the message said.

The largest project is implemented by SAG in cooperation with Sahid Group (Indonesia).

This complex is designed for 91 rooms. In addition, there will be a four-star restaurant and a conference hall, the message said.
