Italian Innovando company will establish a solid waste collection and recycling enterprise in Uzbekistan , Trend reports citing the Agency for Foreign Investment Promotion of Uzbekistan.
Specialists of the Ministry of Investment and Foreign Trade of Uzbekistan, the Agency for Foreign Investment Attraction of Uzbekistan, the State Committee on Ecology of Uzbekistan and the management of the Toza Hudud Uzbek enterprise held a videoconference with the administration of Innovando company, on June 25, 2020.
The purpose of the meeting was to discuss the implementation of this investment project in Syrdarya region.
"Within the project it is planned to establish a cluster for collection, transportation, sorting and processing of solid domestic waste. The implementation of the multistage project is planned for five years and its total cost is 40 million euros," the message said.
The initiator of the planned project is the Energy X Group LLC joint venture, which will implement the project idea of the cluster and its concept.
Further, the parties discussed the allocation of a land plot for the construction of a waste processing plant with a total area of 30 hectares.
At present, joint work is underway with the administration of the Syrdarya region to find a land plot that meets all the necessary requirements for the creation of a multifunctional cluster.
