The State Customs Committee (SCC) of Azerbaijan and Progress industrial production company have signed a contract worth over 1.09 million manat ($641,117), Trend reports citing the Electronic Procurement portal.
According to the portal, the winner of the tender announced by the SCC for the construction of a new administrative building of the committee has been determined.
According to the decision of the tender committee, Progress industrial production company was selected as the winner of the tender,” the portal said.
The State Customs Committee of Azerbaijan has been endowed with the functions of customs control of import-export operations and organization of customs affairs in Azerbaijan.
The goal of the State Customs Committee of Azerbaijan is to protect the sovereignty, economic and national security of Azerbaijan, as well as improve the social welfare of the people, facilitate international trade, ensure security, minimize the collection of customs payments and transfer them to the state budget, as well as customs fraud and fight with international terrorism.
