Azerbaijan, Baku, 11 July / corr. Trend U.Ismayilova / Economic growth of Azerbaijan, which influence on the development of the insurance market, attracts the Russian Reinsurance Society, Andrey Polyakov, the general director of the Society, said in Baku.
The Russian Reinsurance Society has operated at the Azerbaijani insurance market for five years and the company reinsures big property, building and construction, as well as, energy risks at Ata Sigorta, Baki Sigorta, Xalq Sigorta.
According to Polyakov, the Azerbaijani insurance companies have close relations with the Russian companies and it is the basic reason to develop bilateral relations.
Polyakov said that transparency and qualification of the Azerbaijani insurance companies also attract the Russian Reinsurance Society.
A total of 28 insurance and one reinsurance company operate in Azerbaijan and they collected AZN 51.6mln in premiums amid claims amounting to AZN 8.99mln, in January to March.
