Azerbaijan, Baku, Feb. 9 / Trend , E.Ismayilov/
The Azerbaijani engineering-construction company Akkord Inshaat-Senaye will put into exploitation two road flyovers as a part of reconstructing and building Baku-Russian border concrete road on Feb. 12-13, the company said on Jan. 29. The Azerbaijani Transport Ministry is a customer of the project.
The company is constructing a tunnel at 11 kilometer of Baku-Guba-Russian border highway and a bridge at 16 kilometer of this road.
At present construction work is under completion and it is planned to put them into exploitation almost on Feb. 12-13.
Length of the tunnel which is being built at the Khirdalan circle is 700 meters, width - 20 meters and height- 5 meters. A key function of the flyover is to provide free transit transport traffic in the northern direction (Russia).
The flyover at 16 kilometers of this road targets to provide cars' entry to main highway from Khirdalan to Sumgayit and Baku. Depth of this flyover is 20 meters and length - 63 meters.
Akkord began reconstructing and building a concrete Baku-Russian border road at 118 kilometers of length at the Azerbaijani Transport Ministry's order in May 2008.
Constructing concrete covering of the road at 120 kilometers finished and completion work is being conducted at bridges and tunnels in the road. A total thickness of the concrete covering makes up 28 centimeters due to trucks' passage over this road. The road is being concreted with special German Wirtgen facilities.
