Azerbaijan, Baku, March 6 / Trend , E.Ismayilov/
Operation of all trains in the Saatli-Bejar direction [south-west region of Azerbaijan] will be suspended for a period from March 14, 08:00 to March 17, 08:00, because of repair and replacement of metal parts of the bridge over the Araz River in the 98th kilometer of this line, Azerbaijan State Railway press officer Nadir Azmammadov said on March 6.
Operation of the Baku-Goradiz-Baku passenger train will be suspended.
"There are two bridges in both directions on this site. One bridge was repaired last year. The repair work is required as the bridges were built in 1928 and many steel structures have become obsolete," Azmammadov said.
The bridge will be repaired by the Azerkurpu OJSC.
