Former State Minister of Georgia, recognized the country's economic reformer Kakha Bendukidze advises the government reduce budget expenditures, instead of issuing treasury bonds.

"We have long stated that the budget is financed by a lot of ineffective programs. When we faced with the problem of budget implementation, the issue even now must be revised. With regard to treasury bonds, banks can buy them, but then they will have to abandon the financing of the economy, because they will not able to deal directly with the two functions," he said in an interview with Kommersant radio.

The Georgian government issues additional treasury bills after that the budget is not fulfilled for the past two months. The budget deficit in April amounted to 500,000 lari, while in May, deficit of the budget revenue has already reached 4 million, but the government plans to issue additional treasury bills on this backdrop.

Prime Minister Nika Gilauri said the state will receive from the commercial bank 250 million lari loan, which will finance a number of social rehabilitation projects
