Azerbaijani Bank Standard's profit ups 8 percent per year

Azerbaijani Bank Standard's net profit hits 8.58 million manat as a result of the first six months or 8.7 percnet more than the same period of 2008.

As a result of the first six months, bank's profit hits 39.71 million manat compared to 57.95 million manat as of July 1, 2008.

Bank's assets reduced 26.5 percent within reporting period by hitting 523.7 million manat.

Bank's loan portfolio reduced 18.4 percent per year by hitting 358.37 million manat compared to 439.12 million manat as a result of the first six months of 2008. Bank granted consumer loans to the amount of 64.18 million manat from total portfolio, as well as car loans - 40.76 million manat and mortgage loans - 12.91 million manat.

Bank's depositary portfolio reduced 42.8 percent within reporting period by hitting 231.59 million manat, 103.17 million manat - longterm deposits of physical entities but 21.01 million manat - long-term deposits of legal entities. As of July 1, bank's obligations hit 410.44 million manat compared to 605.34 million manat for similar period of 2008.

As of July 1, joint capital of the bank is 85.19 million manat but authorized capital - 64.56 million manat.

As of July 1, number of active plastic cards hits 24,770, cash machines - 51, POS terminals - 445 but branches - 17. The bank has 93,639 clients, 5,016 - legal but 88,623 - physical entities.

On August 5, the official exchange rate is 0.8042 manat to $1.
