Over 440 cases of consumer rights violations fixed in Azerbaijan

The State Consumer market Control Department under the Azerbaijani Economic Development ministry withdrew from sale more than 800 kg of expired products, including sausages, confectionery products, oil, milk and dairy products, drinks, beer and baby food, during its monitoring on the consumer market, the ministry said on Aug.13.

The State Consumer market Control Department under the Azerbaijani Economic Development ministry withdrew from sale more than 800 kg of expired products, including sausages, confectionery products, oil, milk and dairy products, drinks, beer and baby food, during its monitoring on the consumer market, the ministry said on Aug.13.

The ministry revealed these violation facts during its monitoring in the Yasamal, Nasimi, Nizami, Narimanov and Khatai regions of Baku, as well as Ganja and Sumgayit, Khachmaz.

The ministry drew up acts on administrative violations towards 22 physical and one legal entity and fined under the law.

Generally after the Azerbaijani president's decree on amendments and supplements to Administrative Violations Code dated May 17, as many as 43 legal entities were fined in the amount of 165,000 manat and 276 physicals to 414,500 manat.

On Aug.3, the official exchange rate is 0.8040 manat to $1.
