U.S Boeing to build Next-Generation 737 aircrafts for Turkmenistan

Aircraft corporation Boeing (USA) has received an order to build three Next-Generation 737 aircrafts for the national airline 'Turkmenkhowayollary' (Turkmen airlines), a company press release said.

The total contract cost is estimated at $192 million.

The information included a quote from Marty Bentrott, Vice President of Sales in the Middle East, Central and South Asia. "This order is another step in our long-term and mutually beneficial partnership with Turkmenistan," he said.

He said that the chosen models are very reliable. "They have unmatched fuel efficiency."

Turkmenistan has fully replaced the Soviet planes in its local depot with U.S aircrafts. At present, an international tender to construct an airport in Ashgabat is being held.
