Although prices of hen eggs rose by 0.10 - 0.11 manat on the local consumer market in Azerbaijan, their cost was 0.06 manat within 6 months and it does not change, said the representative of the local broiler company Imishli gushchulug.
"The cost of eggs was not increased, but rather under the influence of the global financial crisis the prices of forages for birds have reduced," the source added.
The Imishli guchshulug company buys forage for birds mostly from Kazakhstan and does not have any problems with exporters, the source added.
"The price of eggs was increased by those poultry farms, which have not stored forage a longer period, while others have to adjust prices from moth to month, as 70 percent of the cost of poultry production depends on the cost of froage," the source said.
On Oct. 7, the official exchange rate is 0.8033 manat to $1.
