Turkey's 2011 state budget will meet interests of all society, Hasan Ali Celik, the head of the Turkish Parliamentary Committee on Industry, Trade, Energy, Natural Resources and Information Technology, MP from the ruling Justice and Development Party, told Trend by phone.
"The main objective of new budget is to support economic stability and meet interests of all society", Celik said.
According to MP Celik, unnecessary expenditure will not be allowed in new budget.
The budget expenditures are projected at 201.94 billion dollars and revenues - at 180.2 billion dollars, including tax revenues at 150 billion dollars. In the structure of the budget revenues, non-interest income is projected at 171.2 billion dollars and the remainder of non-interest income - 9 billion dollars. The budget deficit is expected to reach 21.4 billion dollars.
According to Celik, the main sectors that will be supported in the new budget are healthcare and education.
"This budget will specially focus on development of high-speed railway connection in the country and the financing of defense industry", Celik said.
Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan said the new budget will support the spheres of production, investment, trade and exports.
"The needs of investors and industrialists, farmers and tradesmen, pensioners and students will be taken into account while preparing the budget," Erdogan said in his speech during the parliamentary debate on the country's budget for 2011.
The Turkish Parliament began discussing the 2011-state budget on December 13. Discussions will last 13 days.
