Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev has today inaugurated the Gazakh-Georgia frontier highway, AzerTaj state news agency reported.
Transport minister Ziya Mammadov informed the president that the highway was constructed since August 2010 by Italian Impressa Company.
The main subcontractor of the highway is the Akkord Group of Companies.
The road was built as part of "improvement of the Gazakh-Georgia frontier highway" project.
The width of the two-way road is 15m. The highway features 3 bridges and 8 bus stops.
President Aliyev cut the ribbon symbolizing the opening of the road.
The president had a conversation with representative of the Impressa Company Ayroldi Morgan.
The president gave his recommendations and instructions after touring the highway.
