As part of cooperation with the World Tourism Organization (WTO), the Culture and Tourism Ministry of Azerbaijan plans to conduct statistical seminars over the next two years.
Such accord was reached at a meeting between Culture and Tourism Minister Abulfaz Garayev and WTO representatives Dmitry Ilyin and Alla Pereselova at the 10th International Tourism and Travels Exhibition in Baku on Thursday, the Ministry reported.
The first seminar of such sort is expected to take place in October 2011.

In addition, the opportunity of arranging a meeting between the Minister Abulfaz Garayev and the WTO Director General Taleb Rifai at the sidelines of the World Tourism Summit to be held in Las Vegas on May 19 was explored, and expansion of cooperation under the Silk Road Program was discussed.

In conclusion, Minister Garayev passed over his invitation to Rifai to visit Azerbaijan in October.
The Azerbaijani International Tourism Fair, AITF 2011, which marks its 10th anniversary this year, is taking place at the Baku Expo Center on April 28-30.
