Azerbaijani entrepreneurs and companies started exporting investments to countries abroad, Azerbaijani Economic Development Minister Shahin Mustafayev said on Friday at the presentation of a special issue of "The Business Year-Azerbaijan 2011" magazine on the 20th anniversary of Azerbaijan's independence.
"Over $4 billion have already been invested in the Turkish economy and investments are planned to increase up to $6 billion in coming years", Mustafayev said.
He said investments in Georgia's economy reached one billion dollars.
"Recognition of Azerbaijani company [SOCAR's subsidiary in Georgia] as the largest investor and taxpayer of the year is a good indicator of Azerbaijan's importance as investor for Georgia", Mustafayev said.
