The number of business entities registered in August 2011 increased by 42.4 per cent to 4,587 units, compared to the same period last year.
"Some 98.1 percent are business entities and 1.9 percent non-entrepreneurial entities," the Georgian Justice Ministry's public registry told Trend.
The monthly index of business registration has been fixed at 1.048.
In August 2011the number of registered business entities fell by 8.9 percent, compared to the previous month, while the number of non-entrepreneurial entities fell by 21.6 percent.
The number of business entities registered in August 2011 increased by 42.9 percent, compared to the same period in 2010, while the number of non-entrepreneurial entities increased by 19.2 percent.
During the same month, the monthly index of business registration of entrepreneurial and non- entrepreneurial entities was recorded at 1.059 and 0.685, respectively.
In August the majority of entities were recorded as individual entrepreneurs - 3,472, (75.7 percent of the total registered). Entities with a status of limited liability companies amounted to 1,018 (22.2 percent).
