The number of unemployed reduced in Georgia for the last six months, Georgian Prime Minister Nika Gilauri said at a governmental meeting on Friday.
He informed ministers about the macro-economic indices in January-August 2011.
He said that the exports increased by 40 percent, while imports - by 38.8 percent during this period.
He said that a 14 percent growth was fixed in the banking sector.
A 14 percent growth was fixed in exports of automobiles, a 30 percent growth in real estate transactions.
"According to the preliminary data for the six months, the unemployment rate dropped from 16.6 percent to 15.5 percent," he said.
