Iran's workers should get a 17 percent salary increase in addition to coupons and a credit card, the website Khabarfarsi reported.
Last year, workers got a 9 percent salary increase, far less than what it should have been if adjusted for inflation said Gholamreza Khadamizadeh, the head of the association for workers' unions.
With inflation at 20 percent, workers' salaries should go up 15 to 17 percent this year. If workers don't get coupons and a credit card as promised, then they will take their request for a 20 percent salary boost to the country's Supreme Labor Council.
