Tajikistan's gross agricultural production exceeded 230.6 million somoni (over $48 million) in January, increasing by 5.6 percent compared to the similar period of 2011, Avesta.tj reported.
The volume of livestock production exceeded 229.4 million somoni, while the crop sector production hit 1.2 million somoni.
Tajikistan produced over 207 tons of vegetables in January, or 13.7 percent more than the same period's index.
Tajikistan laid out new gardens of over 870.3 hectares during the first month of 2012.
