In January-September 2012, Azerbaijan ranked second among the major trade partners of Georgia, Georgian Statistics Service told Trend on Wednesday.
According to the information, in January-September, trade turnover between the two countries amounted to $ 941 million, or 12.4 per cent of Georgia's total foreign trade turnover.
Georgia imported goods and services from Azerbaijan worth $472.4 million and exported goods worth $468.3 million.
In September Azerbaijan remained the largest export market for Georgia.
Turkey remained the first among Georgia's trade partners. Trade turnover with the country amounted to $1.169 million. Ukraine was third with $545 million.
The total foreign trade turnover of Georgia amounted to $7.595 million in January-September 2012, which is 16 per cent more than in the same period of 2011.
Export amount to $1 770 million (an increase of 14 per cent) and imports - $5,284 million (an increase of 17 per cent).
