In the coming days, three groups of Russian experts will arrive in Georgia to carry out inspections of Georgian companies, Georgian Agriculture Minister David Kirvalidze said at a news conference on Wednesday.

He said specific steps were taken for the import of Georgian products to the Russian market.

"The visit of the Georgian delegation, led by head of the National Wine Agency Levan Davitashvili, was successfully concluded. An agreement was reached with Russia's chief sanitary doctor Gennady Onishchenko on sending three groups of specialists to Georgia in coming days," Kirvalidze said.

He said the experts will check companies that wish to export their products to Russia.

The Russian market will be open for companies whose products will meet quality requirements. Georgian drinks will presumably enter the Russian market in the spring, "Kirvalidze said.

As for the export of fruit and vegetables, Kirvalidze said another group has to be sent to Moscow on this issue.
