Number of appeals to credit registry up twofold in Azerbaijan

Some 203,688 appeals were received by the Central Credit Register Service under the Central Bank of Azerbaijan (CBA) in January-July 2013, the CBA's statistics report said today.

According to the report, the number of the appeals to the service increased 2.33 times compared to the same period of 2012 (87,448 appeals).

In July, the credit register service received 203,174 requests from banks and 514 people appealed to obtain credit reports.

As of late July the number of borrowers whose data is included in the credit register service, was 1,777,608 and the total number of credit data was 5,472,396.

The number of data on guarantors available in the register service is 650,556.
The Central Credit Register Service has been operating since March, 2005.

The rate of a single query for a physical entity is 1.1 manat, for a legal entity two manat. The Credit Register Service does not have commercial goals and the tariffs are imposed for covering administrative expenditure.

The official exchange rate is 0, 7844 AZN/USD on September 5.
