KFW intends to implement two more projects in Georgia

Georgian Finance Minister Nodar Khaduri met with the Vice President of the German Credit Bank for Reconstruction (KFW) Eva Vity. They discussed current projects carried out with bank's funding and future cooperation, the Ministry of Finance of Georgia told Trend.

Georgian Finance Minister Nodar Khaduri met with the Vice President of the German Credit Bank for Reconstruction (KFW) Eva Viti. They discussed current projects carried out with bank's funding and future cooperation, the Ministry of Finance of Georgia told Trend.

"German assistance, and specifically KFW's, that is provided for development of Georgian economy is very important to us. Important projects in Batumi and Kutaisi are carried out with the funding of the bank. KFW is actively cooperating with the Georgian side in the fields of energy and environmental protection. We agreed that negotiations will continue and I hope that with the support of KFW, many other projects will be carried out in the country." -Khaduri said..

According to the Vice President of KFW, two more projects will be signed in the near future

"At the last meeting with the Minister of Finance, we talked about the cooperation that links the KFW with Georgia. We are very pleased with the work of the government, as well as with the progress of our projects, which include energy, water supply, sewage systems , and environmental protection . In the near future we will sign two more projects. First concerns the construction of a landfill in Kutaisi, the second is the energy sector support. Equally important is the grant assistance, which we have allocated for the protection of the environment "- said Eva Viti said.
