Tajikistan, Afghanistan sign several cooperation documents

Afghanistan and Tajikistan signed six documents on developing cooperation in various fields in Kabul. The documents were signed by the two presidents Hamid Karzai and Emomali Rahmon, the Iranian news agency Fars reported on March 27.
The relevant departments of the two countries signed a joint statement on the development of bilateral relations between Afghanistan and Tajikistan, an agreement on the development of cooperation between the interior ministries of the two countries, agreements on making mutual investments and in the field of culture, art and publishing.
Tajikistan and Afghanistan also signed a memorandum of understanding on cooperation in the field of radio and television, according to the information.
The two presidents stressed the importance of solving the problems in connection with investments and the amount of these investments, as well as the need for cooperation between the parliaments, prosecution and justice bodies of the two countries.
Moreover, the presidents stressed the importance of developing cooperation between the two countries in energy, trade and economic spheres, the CASA-1000 electric power line construction and the Turkmenistan-Afghanistan-Tajikistan railway.
