Kazakhstan will allocate 119 billion tenge (over $653.792 million) to geological exploration from the state budget.
The geological exploration program for 2015-2019 was approved by the Kazakh government on May 13, Kazakh prime-minister's web site reported.
This program will increase gold, copper and complex ores forecast resources, Kazakh Vice Minister of Industry and New Technologies Nurlan Sauranbayev said. Moreover groundwater deposits may be found.
It is also planned to attract large national companies and subsoil users to invest in geological exploration.
