Part of Almaty-Taldykorgan road to be commissioned in Kazakhstan by end of 2014

Some 10 kilometers of the Almaty- Taldykorgan automobile road will be commissioned in Kazakhstan by end of 2014, according to the press service of the Kazakh Transport and Communications Ministry.

Some 10 kilometers of the Almaty- Taldykorgan automobile road will be commissioned in Kazakhstan by end of 2014, according to the press service of the Kazakh Transport and Communications Ministry.

The total length of the Almaty- Taldykorgan is 245 kilometers. Currently, work is underway throughout the whole road, with nine contractors involved in the project.

Vice-Minister of Transport and Communications Mereke Pshembaev was familiarized with the progress of work on the highway.

He held a meeting, where he gave a number of instructions to the management of the contractor organizations on the increase of pace of work and ensure safe passage throughout the area.

After the completion of reconstruction in 2016, Almaty- Taldykorgan road will be expanded to four lanes.
