Georgia exported 9,990 metric tons of live cattle worth $25.15 million to Azerbaijan in January-September 2014, Georgia 's National Statistics Service's report as of nine months says.
The share of this category in the total volume of Georgia's exports to Azerbaijan hit 5.91 percent during the reporting period.
The volume of cattle exports from Georgia to Azerbaijan dropped by 27.8 percent or by 3,730 metric tons (27.1 percent) in January-September 2014 compared to the same period of 2013.
For comparison, some 13,710 metric tons of live cattle worth $34.84 million were exported from Georgia to Azerbaijan in January-September 2013.
Around 19.8 percent of Georgia 's exports accounted for Azerbaijan in January-September 2014.
Georgia exported $425.79 million worth of goods to Azerbaijan during this period. The export to Azerbaijan decreased by 19.4 percent compared to the same period of 2013.
For comparison, $528.59 million worth of Georgian goods were exported to Azerbaijan in January-September 2013.
Azerbaijan ranks first among the countries to which Georgia exports its products, followed by Armenia ($224.59 million), Russia ($212.14 million), Turkey ($173.03 million) and the US ($156.56 million).
