It will not be possible to restore Kazakh management at KazTransGas - Tbilisi LLC presumably till April, Georgia's Deputy Energy Minister Mariam Valishvili told Georgian Radio Kommersant on Dec.29.
Earlier, Georgian National Energy and Water Supply Regulatory Commission extended the term of office of the company's interim manager Gia Benashvili till April 1, 2015.
Valishvili said that the Kazakh management at the company can be restored after resolving the debt issue, adding that the time till April 1 should be enough for that.
Moreover, the deputy minister added that the decision in principle about restoring the Kazakh management has been adopted.
Kazakhstan's 'KazTransGas' purchased Tbilgas company of Georgia for $12.5 million in 2006.
Earlier in 2009, a special manager was appointed to the KazTransGas-Tbilisi, in accordance with the decision of Kutaisi City Court (Georgia) on the initiative of Georgian Oil and Gas Corporation. The measure was taken due to KazTransGas-Tbilisi's 80 million GEL debt (about $45 million as of Nov. 14).
