SOCAR increases export of gas to Georgia in 2014

The SOCAR company (State Oil Company of Azerbaijan) in 2014 exported 1.2 billion cubic meters of gas to Georgia, a source in the State Oil Company told Trend Jan.15.

In total in 2013, SOCAR exported about 1.04 billion cubic meters of gas to Georgia compared to 993 million cubic meters in 2012.

SOCAR supplies gas to Georgia as part of its activities in Georgian market via a pipeline linking the two countries in Azerbaijan's Gazakh district. The pumping capacity of this pipeline nears 3 billion cubic meters of gas per year.

Azerbaijan's State Oil Company manages the gas distribution networks covering various regions of Georgia through SOCAR Georgia Gas.
