Income of Azerbaijani population increased by 8.6 percent in January-August 2016 compared to the same period of 2015 and reached 28.97 billion Azerbaijani manats (1.6292 AZN/USD on Sept. 23), said the State Statistics Committee’s report on the results of January-August 2016.
The report says that per capita income amounted to 3,011 manats during the reporting period, or 376 manats per month, which is by 7.4 percent more than the same period of 2015.
Net income of the population increased by 8.8 percent and amounted to 26.28 billion manats in January-August 2016 as compared to the same period of 2015, according to the report.
During the period, some 78.2 percent of population’s income was directed to consumption expenditure, 9.3 percent – tax, insurance and membership contributions, 2.6 percent – payment of loan debts and 9.9 percent – savings.
