Pesticide factory to be built in Azerbaijan in August

A pesticide factory will be built on the territory of Azerbaijan’s Sumgait Chemical Industrial Park in August 2017, Ali Arman Kabakcioglu, technical director of Aqrokimya LLC (part of Gilan Holding), told reporters Apr. 13.

He added that the factory with an area of ​​6.4 hectares is being built on the territory of 18.4 hectares.

"The annual production capacity will reach 9,000 tons of pesticides,” he said. “At the initial stage, the factory will cover domestic needs and then will start to export the products. This factory will be the only pesticide factory with a high production capacity in the region."

The construction of the factory started in January 2016. The factory will be built in August 2017. Some 150 people will work there. Approximately $15 million was invested in the project implementation.
