Kazakhstan's Kazgeology JSC is conducting geophysical surveys near the city of Stepnogorsk using helicopter-borne time-domain electromagnetic systems.
"In 2014, together with the Canadian company Geotech Ltd., we created a joint venture, KazGeoTech LLP. The company uses unique ZTEM and VTEM technologies. We have started geophysical surveys using AirTEM [helicopter-borne time-domain electromagnetic] systems of Triumph Instruments," Chairman of Kazgeology JSC Galym Nurzhanov said.
The uniqueness of AirTEM technology is its ability to analyze both the upper and deep-lying levels of a field.
President of Triumph Instruments Stephen Balch said they asked Kazgeology JSC to provide an area for geophysical surveys to prove the effectiveness of technology and capabilities of equipment.
Balch said Triumph Instruments carry out geophysical surveys at its own expense.
Triumph Instruments is a geophysical instrumentation company founded in 2007 to develop new and innovative airborne, ground and borehole technology. The equipment of this company is successfully used in Canada, US, Peru, China and Mexico.
