In 2017, Turkmen kerosene exports grew more than 26 percent, Nebit-Gaz, an online newspaper, reported quoting the data of theState Statistics Committee.

A total of 496,100 tons of this fuel was exported, the major share of which was sold through the State Commodity and Raw Materials Exchange of Turkmenistan.

The Turkmenbashi Complex of Oil Refineries (TCOR) produced 551,600 tons of kerosene in 2017, while it was planned to produce 517,100 tons.

“As of Jan. 1, 2018, there were no unsold remainders of the Turkmen kerosene at the TCOR, which indicates high demand for this fuel and the producer’s competent trading strategy,” the report said.

Turkmenistan plans to bring its oil refining capacity to 20 million tons by 2020, to 22 million tons by 2025 and to 30 million tons by 2030. At this stage, the country annually produces more than 10 million tons of oil, the major part of which is processed at local facilities.
